RECREATIONAL CLASSES
Dance Works offers many recreational classes, below is a short description of our 2024-2025 recreational schedule. Dance is so much more than learning skills and perfecting technique. In dance class students will also learn self-confidence, teamwork and commitment all while making friends & having fun. We have two beautiful dance rooms and you may watch your child’s progress at any time through our viewing windows. We would love to have you join our dance family!

Wed. 5:00 - 6:00 Acro/Jazz (Age 5 & 6)
In this class students will learn both beginner jazz skills and tumbling skills. The
class is perfect for little ones with lots of energy!
Mon. 5:00-5:45 Hip Hop (Ages 5-9)
Dancers in this class will learn beginner to intermediate hip hop skills. It’s always a
favorite class with its vibrant free style movement!
Mon. 5:00-5:45 My Toddler & Me (Ages 2 & 3)
This is a perfect class for a parent to share with their little one. Students feel safe
taking class with their parent. It is a creative class that encourages self-expression
and introduces movement & dance.
Mon. 5:45-6:30 Hip Hop/Contemporary (Ages 10 and Up)
This is an advanced class. It will alternate both hip hop & contemporary dance. This is a high level class that allows the students to perform with freedom of movement; adding their own personality to both styles of dance.
Wed. 6:00 - 6:45 Acro (Ages 7-10)
This is an intermediate acro class. Students love the high energy of tumbling.
During this class they will improve their flexibility and balance as well as their
tumbling skills.
Wed. 6:00 - 6:45 Tiny tots (Age 3 & 4)
In this class we combine beginner ballet, jazz & acro skills with basic motor skills.
Dancers take this class independent from their parent. This high energy class is a
perfect introduction to dance teaching a variety of dance skills.
Wed. 6:45 - 7:30 Teen Jazz/Lyric (Age 10 & Up)
This is our most popular teen class! The dancers learn intermediate to advanced
jazz lyric skills and will perform two routines in the recital.
Wed. 5:00 - 6:00 Tap/Jazz (Age 5 - 7)
Little dancers in this class will learn both tap & jazz skills. It’s a fun class filled with
energy and excitement especially making new sounds with their tap shoes. These
dancers will perform 2 routines in our annual show.
Adult Tap And Jazz
Our Adult Tap and Adult Jazz classes have been made up of many former dancers the past few years. If you used to dance as a child and it’s still in your heart, these may be the perfect adult classes for you! We will have fun, explore tap & jazz and enjoy time with other adults but most importantly you will be doing something for yourself! Adult Tap Tues. 6:30-7:15 Adult Jazz Wed. 6:45-7:30
